Joseph LOOMIS (RIN: 2873), son of John LOOMIS and Agnes LYNGWOOD , was born 24 August 1590 in Braintree, Essex, England. He married Mary WHITE 30 June 1614 in Shalford, Essex, England. He died 25 November 1658 in Windsor, Connecticut. Mary WHITE (RIN: 2868), daughter of Robert WHITE and Bridget ALLGAR , was born 1590 in Shalford, Essex, England. She died 23 August 1652 in Windsor, Connecticut.

Notes for Joseph LOOMIS:

He came to Boston in 1638. He was a wool draper or dealer in fabricks by trade. With his wife and eight children he sailed form London in the Susan and Ellen 11 APR 1638, ariving in Boston 17 JUL. By February 1640 he had settled in Windsor. The dug-out cabin Joseph Loomis built as his first home and the house he erected before 1652, are both preserved on the grounds of the Loomis Chafee School.
