Henry and Anthony Somerby, sons of Richard, son of Henry
Somerby of Little Bythum, Lincolnshire, England, came to
America on the ship Jonathan in 1639, landing in Boston. They
went to Newbury where they settled. Henry was a merchant tailor.
Henry and his wife Judith (Greenleaf) somerby had four children,
all born probably in Newbury, MA:
Sarah, b. 10 Feb. 1645; m. John Hale, son of Thomas Hale.
Elizabeth, b. 1 Nov. 1646; m. (1) Nathaniel Clark; m. (2) 8
