Hi Charlotte, thanks for chiming in!
I am glad the LLP was helpful to you. I also want to add that behavioral problems always develop over long time spans even if we do not realize it. We are always teaching our birds, every second we spend with them. But what are we teaching them? Are we inadvertendly planting the seeds for trouble later on? Learning to recognize what we are doing in terms of our interaction with them can spare us headaches in the future.
So, the take-home message is: even if your bird is "perfect" today, you should still take the LLP. Knowledge is power.
Cheers, Rita
: Rita, I completely agree with you on the benefits of Susan's LLP Program. I completed the course last November and it has helped me tremendously with my male P.f.f. At sixteen years old, he was raised as a breeder and lost his mate last year. Since that time, he has resided in our livingroom and will remain there until we secure another compatible mate for him. He is living proof that an "untame uncape" can still be a remarkable companion. Susan's course was instrumental in helping me understand his behaviour during his grieving and readjustment period and it gave me the tools to help redirect his attention to other things as he became accustomed to living with humans rather than his mate of over ten years.
