smaller stainless or larger powder coated?

Since I am gone all day, my cape will be in his cage a lot. So should I get him a 32" stainless cage, or a 36" powder coated? The 36" goes all the way to the floor so it has way more room than the 32" which is 2.5 ft off the ground. However, I am not sure how much these guys chew on cage bars. What would you folks recommend?
