Nyoni has lived in a 32 x 32 x 23 powdercoated cage for 8 years and is doing fine. I agree with Craig that location [as with any real estate] is everything. Our two birds are in the family room, right by the dining table. They can watch the TV from there and can see into the kitchen, where people are a lot. They can also see comings and goings from the hall, without being threatened by the action. I have a 'playpen' by a window, where they can spend some time.
Nyoni really loves the playtop on his cage as well. However, I had to take the wheels off to make the entire cage lower. This made him a little less challenging.
There is a bit of rust right under where he takes his baths, and he does chew the bars, but in general, the cage is holding out well.
