This was not so much a travel post as an offer to send information about the parrot in the wild. The forests around the town of Stutterheim are one of the prime breeding grounds for the Cape Parrot, and in March to early May it is entirely possible to see groups of up to 30 of the birds - even from your garden in town! More improtantly you will hear them squawking from a mile away!
More information can be seen on the website http://www.allaboutstutterheim.co.za - and if you look at the site and would like to see even more info then please let us know.
