South African in the USA wanting to learn!

I am a South African living in Boston, MA. I had an interest in budgies while I was growing up, and now that I have own kids, this fire has been re-lit!

Somehow in my search for info on breeding budgies and finding someone to teach me, I have come across the plight of the South African Cape Parrot, and I am stunned!

I didn't know we have parrots native to S.A., nor did I know they are in danger as a species!

How I would LOVE to participate in breeding these birds, and increasing their numbers. Colleen Downs is in the city I grew up in, and that I hope to return to someday soon.

I hope you don't mind if I "lurk" around here learning all I can. And one day I hope to find my own pair of South African Cape Parrots to breed.
