Yayyy...its working. Outfoxed our computer finally! All is well here. Had three baby capes this season in the one clutch we set up....two boys and a girl. The girl just went off to New York on a long flight, but happily, jumped out of the box and ate some warm food from a dish and then began exploring her new bird room. She was a handful here, really sassy, and at age fifteen weeks was flying all over and really ready for some new stimulation and a new life. The eldest boy went to Seattle where Denise's Parrots is trying one of my capes for a first time (an incredible shoppe if you are in that area...) He too is adjusting well. He went in a divided box with our three yellow fronted amazon babies.
Last chick is the baby boy we named Makana. He will spend some more time out here, getting to know his parents in the outside colony and seeing the other capes. I would like to fly him a bit on the farm, but April doesn't like that so we will see. He has the biggest beak of the three, but is the most mellow at this early stage....
Cheers, EB
