Hi There
I am building an 10 metre high, 20 metre square bird aviary with a 20 metre square inclosed bird room attached, infra-red lights, heated perches, nesting boxes etc.
Does anyone think that Poicephalus species could colony breed? Say three pairs in that space?
My research on the internet has only come up with Eclectus colony breeding - Which was very successful. Google it and have a read.
Bird breeders in South Africa(the country where I live) are divided in their opinions on this idea.
I am hoping that someone from overseas may be able to give me some advice. Even if it is just their ideas.
I have the aviary plans as pdfs - if anyone would like to have a look and crit them. My email is kloots@iafrica.com
Kind Regards
Greg
