- Unfortunately, many "breeders" in the Uk seem to give up on Capes - if they don't "produce" every year, they sell them on and on. Plucky was most definitely imported from SA - for all we know, he could even have been wild-caught. The lady we bought him from tried to pass him on as English-bred. We felt sorry for him and took him on - he is such a beautiful bird!
